UPS has appointed Markus Kessler as the new Country Cluster Manager, overseeing operations in the UK, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Iceland.
Kessler's role entails organizing small package operations and leading business development and strategic initiatives across the region.
In his previous role, Kessler served as the Country Manager for UPS in Austria and Switzerland. He was dedicated to driving the development and expansion of UPS's business in these two countries, with a focus on maintaining UPS's Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards in healthcare operations. Additionally, he led the successful launch of UPS Premier in Switzerland and established the use of lockers as UPS Access Point locations in Austria.
Kessler began his journey with UPS in 2006 as an Account Executive in Frankfurt. Through successive promotions within the Sales division, Kessler advanced to the role of Talent Manager in 2012, and in February 2022, he assumed the position of Country Manager for Austria and Switzerland.
Reflecting on his new position, Kessler commented, “I’m so proud to take up this new role. I’m looking forward to helping businesses of all sizes take advantage of international opportunities through our service and technology”.
