FedEx delivers its 300,000th tree for The Christmas SPIRIT Foundation

This year, FedEx will deliver the 300,000th tree the Christmas SPIRIT charity. This December, they are anticipated to mark this significant accomplishment.

The Christmas SPIRIT foundation is a charity based in the US. The organisation works to support Christmas Spirit throughout the year, and their mission is to advance the Christmas Spirit for kids, families & the environment through programs & activities, such as their Tree for troops programme. 

Since 2005, FedEx and the Christmas SPIRIT charity have worked together on the Trees for Troops initiative. The goal of the programme was to deliver trees to both domestic and foreign US military installations, and FedEx now participates in it every year as a tradition.

One of the Christmas Spirit Foundation Board trustees, Wendy Richardson, gave an explanation, saying, "This programme started on a crazy idea and started small." We provided 4,300 trees to just five sites in our first year, and after 19 years of operation, they have already exceeded 300,000 trees.

Trees for Troops began in late November and runs through mid-December. To ensure its success, a large number of volunteers and contributors are expected to participate. Along with the help of the public through donations and other contributions.
