DHL opens new freight shipping facility in Miami

DHL recently opened a new freight shipping facility at Miami International Airport. The new 140,000 square foot hub is especially aimed at catering for Latin American and Caribbean customers.

“The expansion of our operations at Miami International Airport is part of our long-term investment to support market growth in import and export volumes along the U.S.-Latin America trade line. This over $20M investment will bring immediate benefits for our customers, who will experience increased speed, reliability, capacity and connectivity for their international shipments”, confirmed Ian Clough, CEO at DHL Express U.S.

The freight shipping and courier solutions provider, DHL Express, hopes that the space is going to improve the handling of international shipments and connect Latin American customers with DHL’s international client base from 220 countries and territories. Other benefits include additional storage space for dry and perishable goods.
